Expect to get to the park in the afternoon ready for lunch after which you will embark on a thrilling afternoon boat cruise along Lake Ihema ready to spot several wildlife species that visit the water body during hot scotching sun. After boat cruise, you will enjoy an enroute game drive on your way back to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Game drive in Akagera national park and drive back to Kigali

Morning game drive and return to Kigali: After breakfast on day 3 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour, meet your guide and head out for a morning game drive in this stunning savanna ready to spot as many mammals as possible including the nocturnal mammals, hunters and many more that thrill in this park. After game drive, return to the lodge for lunch then check out and be driven to Kigali Rwanda for overnight sleep.

Transfer to Volcanoes National park (Rwanda)

Drive to Volcanoes national park: After a relaxed morning breakfast on day 4 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour, check out of the lodge and meet your driver once again for a transfer to Volcanoes national park the only home to the endangered mountain gorillas in Rwanda.

Well, you will expect to arrive in time for lunch and after lunch, head out for the cultural tour to the Ibyiwacu cultural village where you will be rewarded with a cultural touch of the local Rwandese. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Gorilla Trekking Rwanda and visit twin Lakes of Burela and Ruhondo

Gorilla trekking and visit twin Lakes of Burela and Ruhondo: After breakfast on day 5 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour, meet your safari driver for a transfer to the briefing grounds where you will be briefed about Mountain gorillas, the dos and don’ts during the trek and while in the habitats of gorillas and many more.

After briefing, hire a porter and be led into the forest to start the adventure of searching for the gorilla families that have been habituated and available for trekking in their natural habitats. During the trek, look out for other wildlife that thrill in this forest including other primate species like Monkeys, mammals like forest hogs and many more.

Once you find the allocated gorilla family after searching for about 2-5 hours, you will spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and closely interacting with gorillas then exit the forest and return to your lodge to have lunch.

Later in the evening, you will enjoy a guide walk to visit the twin Lakes of Burela and Ruhondo. Which thrill with stunning vegetation cover along the shores that harbor wildlife species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Golden monkey trekking and drive to Lake Kivu

Golden monkey trekking and drive to Lake Kivu: Have your breakfast in time on day 6 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour then head to the briefing grounds once again for a pre trek briefing about the golden monkey trekking, the dos and don’ts during trekking and many more.

After briefing, you will again penetrate the forest to start searching for the habituated troop of Golden monkeys taking about 2-4 hours with only one hour of close contact with these primates taking photographs and closely viewing them as they go by with their daily activities.

Return to your lodge for lunch after which you will check out and set off on a drive to Lake Kivu for an evening boat ride. Head to your reserved lodge for check in, dinner and overnight sleep.

Transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park

Drive to Nyungwe forest national park: Once you are done with breakfast on day 7 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour, check out of your lodge and be driven to Nyungwe forest national park via rolling Rwanda hills, tea plantations and many other stunning views along the drive. Enjoy an enroute lunch and upon arrival, check in your lodge for dinner and grab an overnight sleep.

Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk: Enjoy your early morning breakfast at your lodge on day 8 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour then meet your driver for a transfer to the briefing grounds where you will be introduced to Chimpanzee trekking, the dos and don’ts while trekking chimpanzees and many more.

After briefing, hire a porter and be led into the forest to search for the habituated chimpanzees in their natural habitats. The trek last about 2-4 hours and after finding chimpanzees, you will spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs then exit the forest and be returned to your lodge for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, return to the forest for a canopy walk along a 150M long canopy that is elevated at 50M. This canopy is considered one of the best canopy walks in the world.

Be sure to spot several wildlife in the forest during the canopy walk as well as a view of Nyungwe forest national park at a glance. Return to the lodge in time for dinner and overnight rest.

Transfer back to Kigali for city tour

Drive to Kigali: After breakfast on day 9 of 10 days Rwanda primates and wildlife safari tour, check out of the lodge and embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive back to Kigali with an enroute lunch.

Along the way, you will have some stopovers at the King’s palace and at the museum as you proceed to Kigali city. Arrive in the evening and enjoy a brief Kigali city tour, have dinner and overnight rest.
