Nyungwe Forest National Park is one of Africa’s oldest rainforests and Rwanda’s largest remaining protected forest.

Chimpanzee trekking: after an early morning breakfast at the lodge on the day 3 of 6 Days 5 Nights Rwanda Chimpanzees Tour and Rwanda wildlife safari, meet with your driver and embark on the journey to the park headquarters to join other people for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while trekking chimpanzees in the wild.
Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe lasts about 2-7 hour including one hour of close contact with the chimpanzees in their natural habitats.
Once you are done trekking chimpanzees, meet your driver to return to the lodge for lunch.
Canopy walk: After enjoying the lunch, embark on an afternoon canopy walk within Nyungwe forest where you will encounter more primates including monkeys, and chimpanzees.
This canopy walk is on an elevation of 50 meters above the ground offering a clear view of the park and the neighboring volcanoes.
After the canopy walk, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Amongst the wildlife encountered during the game drive in Akagera national park mammals such as elephants, lions, zebras, buffalos and many more be sure to encounter lots of bird species, butterflies, amphibians and the green vegetation with the park.
The game drive will last between 5-6 hours then return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon boat cruises: After enjoying your lunch, embark on an afternoon launch cruise on Lake Ihema.

Once you arrive in Kigali, have lunch and do so brief Kigali city visiting the Kigali genocide memorial sites and some markets then proceed to the airport for departures to the next destination.
